Repeat Every Day
Progress in whatever you do!
Daily rewards

Discord Webhooks

Then, use our accountability features, including automated Discord Webhooks, to track and discuss your progress with an accountability partner.

You can find a partner on our Productivity & Accountability Discord server.

1. Customize to your needs
Enter your own habits and counters. Specify what you need to do to claim daily rewards (e.g., which habits and optionally how much time you need to spend on productive sessions).
There are many customization options that allow you to tailor your gamification experience to your needs!
2. Be consistent with habits
Earn XP points for each completed habit and try to complete it every time it is active.
The counter can be active daily, every [x] days, or only on specific days of the week.
3. Track your goals with counters
Counters work similarly to habits, but you can complete them multiple times in one day.
They are useful for activities you do several times a day or for tracking negative habits (e.g., - I ate junk food / + I didn't eat junk food).
4. Work/Study in rated sessions
Rate sessions on a scale of 1-10 (higher ratings and longer sessions earn more XP), view a 14-day productivity heat map, and set up accountability features like automatic Pomodoro summaries to Discord.
This module is optional. You can skip it or rate each day by the total time worked instead of each session.
5. Stay motivated every day
If your rewards are important to you, this module may be a GREAT motivator.
Specify what you need to do to claim a reward each day (e.g., which active habits and counters, the minimum time spent on productive sessions, and the earliest time you can unlock the reward).
Then, be consistent every day not to miss your favorite rewards!
6. Get daily rewards
You can set guaranteed rewards and/or random rewards according to your preferences. For example, if you love video games, a good guaranteed reward could be allowing yourself to play them that evening.
As a random reward, you could add buying a new game or being able to play for an extra hour or two that day.
7. Get long-term rewards
Long-term goals often seem distant, so they typically aren't as motivating as daily rewards. However, they are still worth it.
For example, if you can't earn a daily reward on a given day, lvl rewards can still motivate you, as you can keep earning XP that brings you closer to them.
You can set lvl rewards for your overall profile lvl or for the level of individual skills (habits and counters).
8. Use accountability features
If you have an accountability buddy, you can easily copy session and daily reports for them.
Also, you can use automated Discord webhooks for sessions and daily reports that can send a beautiful embed to your server every time you rate your session or send the daily report.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Does GamifyRoutine.com really help with productivity?

GamifyRoutine.com can boost your productivity by:

  • Providing habits and counters in one convenient place.
  • Allowing you to set motivating rewards and what you need to do to earn them (e.g., 360 minutes of productive time on weekdays + completing all active habits and counters for daily rewards).
  • Giving regular feedback on your progress. Every completed habit or counter earns you XP and brings you closer to your goals.
  • Offering built-in accountability options, like sending reports to accountability partners. This can be an extra motivator, since you wouldn’t want to appear lazy in front of your peers, right?

Everyone is different, and what works for one person may not work for another. It’s free, so you can try it and see if it boosts your productivity.

What does it mean it’s privacy-friendly?

We can’t see your habits, counters, rewards, etc., because we don’t store the data you enter into the app on our servers.

These are saved in your web browser, and you have 100% control over them. You can view, delete, or copy them at any time. Additionally, we provide a “Save” tool where you can import or export your profile.

Why and how is it free?

Thanks to our model, where we don’t store your app data, and we don’t make frequent database queries, the maintenance costs of GamifyRoutine.com are relatively low and should remain manageable even if the app becomes very popular.

Because of this model, we don’t need to have subscriptions, and the app can stay accessible to everyone, including those who need it most but can’t afford extra costs.

For example, even a “cheap” app at $9 per month costs $108 per year. If you regularly subscribed to 10 such apps, that would total $1,296 annually.

We aim to keep the app free forever. If costs significantly increase, we’ll consider ways to monetize it without limiting the features available to free users. There might be some ads (I’ll ensure they’re not too intrusive) or a voluntary donation system, for instance. There are many ideas, and we’re confident that maintaining the app with our model won’t be a problem.

How can I support it?

At the moment, we don’t need financial support, but the app will develop faster and better with more users.

You can help by telling your friends about it or writing a few words on your X or Facebook profile :).

If you like GamifyRoutine.com, you can also join our Discord group, Productivity & Accountability.

Why is there no TODO module?

GamifyRoutine.com app is designed to maximize productivity and provide regular feedback. A built-in to-do list would complicate this and clutter the scoring system.

However, you can mix GamifyRoutine.com app with external to-do lists. For example, set a habit like “Complete all tasks from the to-do list” or/and “Plan the to-do list for tomorrow.” That’s exactly what I (Mike) do, using specialized to-do apps for project management.

Is there a way to sync data between devices?

You probably don’t need synchronization. Apps like GamifyRoutine.com are best used on a single device to avoid unnecessary distractions. If you don’t have access to your device all day, you can easily update your data later.

GamifyRoutine.com app saves user data in the browser. This means it doesn’t automatically sync your data, as your habits, rewards, etc. aren’t saved on our servers, keeping your data private, and allowing the platform to run smoothly and without monthly subscriptions.

If you want to sync data, you can do this manually by exporting and importing saves, or find an external solution for automated data sync (read more about it).

Does it work on mobile devices, Mac, Windows, Linux, etc.?

GamifyRoutine.com app should work on almost any device with a modern web browser that supports JavaScript. It’s free, so you can easily test if it works on your device :).

Do I need to use the Productive Sessions module?

The Productive Sessions is a great module, even if you don’t work in sessions like Pomodoro. You can log how long you worked at the end of the day and rate your day from 1-10.

GamifyRoutine.com offers many customization options, so you don’t have to use this module. You can disable its requirement in Daily Rewards by setting the minimum Productive Timer value to 0.

Is there a support?

As a free app, GamifyRoutine.com does not guarantee any official support.

However, I (Mike) try my best to help users and respond to emails regularly :). If you experience problems, you can also refer to our documentation.

You can seek help from our users on our Discord group Productivity & Accountability.
